Family Legacy Review™ Marketing
Help more families take the first step.
You do not need to convince someone to purchase an estate plan before starting a conversation.
Begin by inviting them to understand their choices, ask their questions, and consider how they want things to go for the people they love.
The complimentary Family Legacy Review™ gives that conversation a clear purpose.
Our working goal: five booked Family Legacy Reviews per Specialist each week.
This is a goal we will work toward and measure, not a promise of appointments or income. Use this page to plan your outreach, follow up thoughtfully, and learn which activities produce conversations.
What are you inviting people to?
A complimentary Family Legacy Review™, completed independently at the person’s own pace or together with a Claim My Legacy Legacy Specialist during a 60-minute appointment.
Either way, it is an opportunity for individuals and couples to consider their family’s needs, understand estate planning basics, and identify questions or next steps.
Some people have done nothing yet. Others have a will. Others already have a trust but are unsure what was completed or what their family would need to do.
They do not need to know which documents to purchase before scheduling.
No pressure. No obligation.
Before your first Family Legacy Review™
Understand the conversation you are inviting a family to.
Start with the Family Legacy Review™ resource page. It contains the current approved Meeting Packet, Facilitation Guide, follow-up tools, and practical guidance for understanding the family before recommending a next step.
Read the guide and review the packet before your appointment. If you have not yet completed Stage 3 qualification, arrange support from your mentor or a qualified Legacy Specialist.
Discovery first. Recommendation second.
Before you share an invitation
Make sure you have:
-
A working appointment link, or a clear way for someone to contact you to schedule.
-
Available times for a 60-minute review.
-
The public Family Legacy Review™ page to help explain the appointment.
-
A simple place to record invitations, responses, bookings, and follow-up dates.
Test your link on your phone. Confirm that a family can tell whom they are booking with.
If you do not yet have an appointment link, help the person choose a time directly.
A natural conversation starter
“I help families understand how to make sure their home and savings go to the people they love without the government taking a chunk of it. Some people haven’t started, some have a will, and others have a trust they still have questions about. Does any of that sound familiar?”
When someone responds, explore what they mean:
-
“In what way?”
-
“How do you mean by that?”
-
“What would you most like to understand?”
When a review fits their questions:
“We offer a complimentary Family Legacy Review through Claim My Legacy. We can talk through your questions and help you understand possible next steps. Would that be helpful?”
Start with people who already know you
Begin with people who know you, have asked about estate planning, attended a workshop, or previously expressed interest.
Reach out individually. Make the invitation relevant to the person rather than sending the same message to everyone.
Your first objective is a conversation. Listen before recommending an appointment.
Invitations you can use
Adapt these examples to your own voice and the relationship.
Personal invitation
“I wanted to let you know about something I’m doing through Claim My Legacy. We offer a complimentary Family Legacy Review for people who want to understand their estate planning choices or have questions about what they already have. Would you like me to send you the details?”
If they say yes, send the review page and offer help scheduling.
When someone says, “We’ve been meaning to do that”
“What has kept it on the back burner?”
Listen to their answer before continuing.
“You don’t have to have everything figured out before we talk. The review gives you a place to ask your questions and understand the next step. Would you like to find a time?”
When someone says, “We already have a will”
“That’s helpful to know. Is there anything about how it would work for your family that you’d like to understand better?”
If they have questions, offer the Family Legacy Review. Avoid assuming their will is inadequate before learning about their situation.
When someone says, “We already have a trust”
“That’s helpful to know. Do you feel clear about which assets are connected to it and what your family would need to do?”
If their questions concern trust funding, introduce the Trust Funding Review™ and send them to that page.
Asking for an introduction
“If someone you know has been putting off estate planning or has questions about their will or trust, you’re welcome to pass along my information. We offer a complimentary Family Legacy Review. Please ask them first before sharing their contact details with me.”

When someone contacts you, offer the two choices: complete the self-guided Family Legacy Review™ or schedule a time to walk through it with you.
Connect workshops to appointments
A workshop introduces the subject. A Family Legacy Review gives someone space to discuss their own questions.
At the end of a workshop:
“If today raised questions about your own family or the documents you already have, the next step is a complimentary Family Legacy Review. You don’t need to decide what to purchase today. We can start by helping you understand your choices.”
Give attendees a clear booking link or QR code. Offer help scheduling before they leave.
Ask permission to follow up with anyone who wants more information.
Follow up with a purpose
Follow-up should make it easier for someone to get help.
After someone requests information
“Hi [First Name], did you get a chance to look at the Family Legacy Review information? What would you most like to understand before deciding whether to schedule?”
When someone is interested but has not booked
“Hi [First Name], you mentioned wanting to understand [their question]. Would you still like to find a time to talk about that? I can send my appointment link or help you choose a time.”
When someone wants to wait
“Of course. Would you prefer that I check back at a particular time, or leave it with you?”
Respect their answer. Record any agreed follow-up date.
Appointment confirmation
“Hi [First Name], your complimentary Family Legacy Review is scheduled for [day, date, time, and time zone] at [location or meeting link]. Please allow about 60 minutes. Bring your questions and any estate planning documents you would like to discuss. I look forward to speaking with you.”
Your first weekly outreach plan
Use this as a starting experiment. We will adjust it as we learn what produces bookings.
Activity
Starting weekly target
Personal invitations to appropriate contacts
15
Follow-ups with people who expressed interest
10
Requests for permission-based introductions
5
Conversations with potential workshop hosts
2
Educational social posts with a review invitation
2
Spread the activities across the week. Keep messages personal and relevant.
These activity targets are not established conversion rates. Completing them does not guarantee five bookings. Record the results so we can improve the approach.
Measure what leads to conversations
Keep a simple weekly record:
-
New inquiries and their source.
-
Reviews booked.
-
Reviews attended.
-
Follow-ups agreed.
-
Families who move forward with help.
Count a booked review when the person has agreed to a specific date and time. A comment, a download, or “send me information” is an expression of interest.
When someone books, ask:
“How did you first hear about us?”
That answer helps you identify where to focus your effort.
Use the right destination
Family Legacy Review™: For people seeking an initial estate planning conversation, including those who have not started or have questions about a will.
Trust Funding Review™: For existing trust owners whose main questions concern whether their assets are properly connected to their plan.
Workshops and books: Educational resources that help people understand the subject and decide whether they want a personal review.
Use a direct link to the relevant page whenever possible.
When you need help
If you are making invitations but getting few responses, or getting interest without bookings, bring your results and questions to Claim My Legacy.
We can examine the invitation, the audience, the booking process, and the follow-up together.
You are in business for yourself, but not by yourself.
Our purpose is to help families understand it, get it done, and make it work. A thoughtful invitation starts that process.
